Completely new to this! Damphir Inquisitor sheet done right?

Advice

I filled out the sheet on http://charactersheet.co.uk/ , I've been wanting to get into Pathfinder for ages, but I've never done it before, so please let me know if this race/class is more difficult than it appears for beginners, heh. But am I missing anything, or did I do anything wrong?

Also, I don't have a GM or any group yet. Are third party deities generally allowed? I really wanted to have her view Immortals as an an enemy to her church, while still not being persecuted herself.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

What method was used for stats? If it's point-buy, post racial adjustments, it looks like around a 34 point stat array, and not many tables out there use anything that high.

You actually have 2 spells known at 1st level. A combat buff like Divine Favor or Shield of Faith is a good option.

Had you decided what direction you wanted to go in with the character as far as in-combat and out-of-combat purpose?

You do get 1 feat at first level.

And for skills an inquisitor gets 6 + int modifier. I think you may just be doing 6 + int score. You get a +1 modifier for every 2 points your stat is above 10. So 16 int means you have a 3 modifier and get 9 skill points.

4d6 drop lowest, reroll ones. I rolled them on http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htm , too, and this should be the total with racials included. Though no Point Buy Equivalent, because that sounds like a scary word I don't know. XP Is it unbalanced? I can reroll.

Oh! Derp, I looked right past that xD Hmmm, I'd probably go with Doom as a debuff, if not Linebreaker.

Purpose being her personality / character? Or just the role she plays? Because I was thinking a tough Damage-dealer, with some crowd control abilities rather than a tank.

I do have her backstory, being born in a human tribal village near the desert, her birthmother disgusted by her Damphir-ism, and Thaisia is sent off and is raised by the village's midwife. Until the midwife gets married, and Thaisia is left in the desert to die at age 7, when Skankhil border patrollers spot her and bring her back to their church.
Once there, she still has some PTSD, and Nemyth Vaar seems to take notice of her potential. She spends the rest of her life with horrific nightmares featuring people who've betrayed her, as Nemyth Vaar's way of tempting her to "come over to the dark side," so to speak, the same way he does with Night Terror anti-paladins.
She hasn't given in, and draws from her faith and duty as a Shankhil inquisitor to overcome her bloodlust. But she is still very prone to grudges, and as she's grown up in the church, watching her friends pass away from old age while she's still a teenager, she absolutely despises immortality and the undead, finding it in itself being an insult to Shankhil's equilibrium of end and beginning.
With all her strong feelings, she's actually a very quiet, gloomy character. Very untrustful and avoids friendships and people. But once a bond's been made, she is very clingy and protective, although it comes off a tad passive-aggressive. She'd be one to sit in the corner while her companions talk to the innkeeper, and the one to scare him half to death if he gives the group any trouble. Without resorting to violence, of course.
