I'm a little confused on how to calculate the cost of Armor and Shield spikes.
Using a Shield as a example (assuming armor would work the same way -
Have a masterwork Heavy shield. If there's a shield spike added to that is that shield spike considered masterwork?
-320gp for masterwork steel shield
- 30gp for the spike on the shield (already considered masterwork)
or
-330gp for a masterwork spike on the shield
I'm assuming it's 320gp + 330gp since the spike is a add on and treated as a separate item.
Which brings up this question -
Now if you have a masterwork spike on the shield and used it to shield slam someone, do you get the +1 to hit from masterworked items?
What is the cost of the spike if you want it made out of adamantine but the shield made out of steel?
- assuming steel shield would be 320gp and the adamantine spike would be 3030gp.
