Magic Fuel System

Liberty's Edge

After finishing Chaika, the coffin princess (anime) i've been tossing around the idea of a half scifi half magical campaign that uses a magical fuel system much like in the show. The fuel is kinda like coal in that its made of long dead animal and plants but the power comes from the memories and emotions linked to their lives, the fuel can be used for casting spells and for normal work in engines, you dont have to use it to cast spells but you lose you own memories in the process. My problem is how to implement it in the Pathfinder rpg. Any ideas on how it would work is appreciated.

There are various mana conversion systems, I'd just look one up and then replace the pre-written mana recharge system with a fuel based system.

And here I thought this would be the perfect thread to espouse the virtues of the Octiric shunt. I can see, however, that you already have a vastly different power source in mind, so I'll leave this to people you actually have ideas on how your concept would work.

Have a look at "Spheres of Power."
