1.Valeros was at one location and it was his turn, he encountered a monster. Merisiel was at another location. She had 1 dagger and 1 caltrops. Could i have used either caltrops to help Valeros evade or defeat and/or the dagger to add a dice to another weapon?

2.If its his turn and both are at same location, can she roll the combat check?

3.Is there anywhere i can go that has in depth explanations of the cards when something seems ambiguous like the dagger/caltrops question?

1. No. You can't evade or defeat something for another character. And you can't play the dagger unless you played another weapon (and even then, the dagger was updated to say only on your own combat check).

2. Nope. You have to deal with whatever it is you encounter.

There is one time where someone else at your location can roll a check for you, and that's when you're facing something that requires more than one check. You'll know this when there's two or three check numbers separated by "THEN". You still have to do at least one of the checks.

(It's described at the top of page 12 of the Wrath rulebook.)

Most of the time, though, you have to deal with it yourself.
