Vehicles in mass combat

Rules Questions

Hey I am wondering how I can figure out the CR for vehicles (specifically airships) for the purpose of using them in mass combat rules.

The only theory I have right now is too try and stat a ship as a construct?

i think the CR depends on the crew, and really just whoever is manning the ranged weaponry unless you are boarding them.

last time i looked there was room for 3 ballistae per side for your long range, then another 10 or so slots per side for archers/crossbowmen/bombers to stand. so just work out the CR per broadside i'd say

2 options.

1) An airship is just a way to move faster and mount some siege weapons, so figure out the ACR of the army plus the siege weapons the ship is carrying, and just assign it an appropriate speed, then treat it as any other army, but state it can't be attacked in melee, and add some rule about if the army's hp drop below half the airship lands (can now be engaged in melee) and if hp reduce to zero it crashes (destroyed).

2) Buy Ultimate War from Legendary Games and use the full aerial combat rules contained within.
