I've been looking over the Kineticist options in Occult adventures, along with discussions on the kineticist class overall, and I can't help but always think about all the various ways for a kineticist to mess over enemy tactics with kinetic cover, particularly with prepared actions. They can block off flanks on their allies, stop a charge, and even delay the arrival of enemy reinforcements in narrow hallways, alleys, etc.
What tactics have proven effective in using this utility wild talent in your games?

The real fun is if you have several rounds to prepare a battlefield, because you can have up to CON+1/2 your level in covers set up at once. That's easily 4-5 when you first get it, and it only starts increasing from there. You can build your own bottlenecks and shooting galleries. Heck, find an alcove in a cave, set up an entire wall and hide behind it, like a silent image of a wall, except the enemy'd have to attack the wall and destroy it, rather than just making a will save.

I've also had good use blocking doorways to delay enemy waves.
During the playtest, before the cover was specifically disallowed from bearing any weight, I made horizontal covers with my level 2 Geokineticist to climb down a cliff. Or rather, so we could hop down a bunch of "stairs" instead of having to climb.

I've used them as a bit of a radar system. It stands to reason that since my character should know the exact amount of Kinetic Cover resources he has available, if one is destroyed, I'd be aware of it to an extent. I may not know which one was broken, but there are ways to layer it in such a way that it'd be obvious where it came from. For one hall way, you place one barrier, for the next two and so forth.
Beyond that, you can use it to break charge lines, protect an ally from being flanked, or you could use it to prevent a square from being threatened so they can grab a potion or cast a spell. In terms of readied actions, you could utilize it as a means to 'create a barrier in front of the enemy that's casting a spell.' If they were aiming towards a friendly, you could very well make the spell fizzle in their face.
If you're lucky enough to have the translucent cover, and really want to be cheesy, you could summon a Mobile Blast. You can then place cover around the door towards yourself. You then can telekineticly open the door, and just direct the Mobile Blast into the room. If you have an idea of what's on the other side, you could even utilize a Delayed Blast ontop of the Mobile Blast.
