Fighter polearm master / Sentiel of Shelyn

Advice

Finally the first prestige class I can get really exicited for a build about a prestige class from inner sea gods. Has anyone done this before ? I think this might work well with a glaive as favored weapon with reach 19-20/x2 crit and reach and sentiel espically affects favored weapon.

I think going from 5 to 6 I get +1 to hit and damage in back to back levels and if I need adjacent the 2nd level ability for polearm master helps me.

Although I am thinking of picking up deadly aim maybe so If I can't use my awesome glaive modifiers

For stats I was thinking for a 20 point buy.

str 18
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 10
CHA 10

Feats
1st Fighter 1 power attack, weapon focus glaive, combat reflexes
2nd fighter 2 bodygaurd ?
3rd fighter 3 defic obedience
4th fighter 4
5th fighter 5
6 th sentiel one

Not sure what the rest of the feats should be but this could be interesting and the idea of the main melee character making art donating to random people sounds funny and flavorful but this might just work.

Also the 1st boon of 1/day haste for sentinel And gliave being a good favored weapon could this be the start of an awesome character?

Reach weapon builds can benefit greatly from Phalanx Formation to attack through allies' squares without them providing cover (which would also prevent you from making attacks of opportunity through those squares).

With a Fighter with 10 Wis, I would take Iron Will in one of those feat slots.

I'd go about it like this:

Race: Half-Elf
Alternate racial traits:
- Dual-Minded (+2 Will Save), replaces Adaptability
- Arcane Training, Blended View, or Fey Thoughts, replaces Multitalented

Traits:
- Helpful (the Halfling version with +2 bonus from Aid Another, pick up via Adopted)
- Many good choices for the second trait, a save bonus, pick up a skill as a class skill, whatever

Feats:
L1: Bodyguard
F1: Combat Reflexes
F2: Power Attack
L3: Iron Will
F4: Weapon Focus (Glaive)
L5: Deific Obedience
L7: Lunge
Sentinel 2: Phalanx Formation
L9: Improved Critical (Glaive)

For feats, the Spear Dancing Style line and Spear Dancer (no relation) might be worth looking at too, concept-wise. ^_^

Spear Dancing Style might be worthwhile as an alternate method to attack close-in targets with your favored weapon, allowing you to take some other archetype than Polearm Master. But even as a Fighter it'll be hard to shoehorn in TWF and Spear Dancing Style on top of all the others he will need & want. I don't think it's worthwhile to go further into that style, as the number of feats it gobbles up is frankly obscene.

Spear Dancer inflicts Dazzled on the target, which is underwhelming to put it mildly. Even the optional Stamina rules only increase the duration, not the effect.

Polearm master loses weapon training, and you never want to loose weapon training. I'd go weapon master to maximize the bonuses of Advanced Weapon Training since you will be losing Fighter progression for Sentinel.
