My group is just starting PFS. We are 2 adventures down so far. I see that Season 7 is the "Year of the Serpent". Would I be incorrect in assuming that each season has overarching themes that tie all of the adventures together?
Also, is information released for the players in order to "get the big picture" or do you just play the adventures and the big picture just starts to take shape at some point? Since you don't necessarily play the modules in order, I'm wondering if you get like a season 7 player's guide or something that sort of clues the player in on what is going on, etc.
Thanks in advance.

The major season storylines really kicked into gear in season 2 and have been going strong since then.
As a bit of picky nomenclature, seasons are made up of multiple PFS scenarios, and have at times tied thematically into the adventure paths that came out that season. Pathfinder Modules are longer, different, and fairly unrelated and don't tie into the PFS storyline, although many are playable for PFS credit.

Not all scenarios in each season are tied to the seasonal story arc. Many are just stand alone adventures. Each new season launches at GenCon with the special interactive event. It sets the stage for the seasonal story arc and concludes usually with the final scenario of the season released in June/July.
