Healer alchemist for PFS

Advice

I know the question was asked before, but I feel there are enough new books out to warrant it being asked again.

So how would you do it? Healing bombs? Healing touch? Give me some advice.

Silver Crusade

Okay, first of all you probably don't want to go Chirugeon, you'll just need to take the Infusion discovery to have any chance of filling this role. Chirugeon only helps if you want breath of life on your list, and really, it's not worth a full archetype for it. Archetype wise, you're actually wide open on what you can go with since there's no other solid healing focus, so feel free to go with whatever.

Bomb wise, healing bomb isn't the best since your bombs are your damage as well as your debuff, so probably stick to the classics like frost and tanglefoot unless you want to try to hold back on using bombs and just use them out of combat, which is viable if you want to go full bandaid box.

Healing touch is pretty nice, but I really consider it more of a personal healing reservoir rather than something that'll be used on a party member. Still, it's extra healing to spread around.

Really early game, just make sure to leave some extract slots blank as you can fill them in 1 minute out of combat, it'll probably help in case you need more cure extracts later.

I do a fair bit of healing with my goblin grenadier/winged marauder alchemist in our Iron Gods game (and with his lizardfolk chirurgeon/vivisectionist/internal alchemist cohort.) Now, I'll recognize not every game is appropriate for technological items, but boy do they help.

In general, spring-loaded wrist sheaths for the party is a great starting point, so that you can pass out your extracts with the infusion discovery, and your allies can swift draw them and then standard drink them.

This is where tech gear gets amazing, though - if you can, get your hands on some medlances. They explicitly work with extracts, meaning you and your allies can spring-load them as a swift, and then administer your extracts as a move - either to heal themselves or an adjacent ally, leaving your standard free.

Wands are also your best friend. You can use a wand of any spell that appears on your extract list without making a UMD check (of course, Pragmatic Activator + UMD is a wonderful combo for other wands.)

There are also the old standbys - poisoner’s gloves, a tumor familiar with a deliverable touch spell ready, or an improved tumor familiar with poisoner’s gloves or a healing wand of their own.

Chiurgeon is just okay, though Breath of Life can be amazing with the above-mentioned action-reserving methods.

I'd also recommend checking out N.Jolly's (the poster above) alchemist guide. It's exceptional, and served me extremely well when I was getting started on my first alchemist.

Apologies, I missed that this was for PFS, so I realize much of the above may not be pertinent.
