First of all, welcome to the wonderful world of Pathfinder!
My recommendation would be to find others in either a local area, or online, who are interested in beginning a group with you. Whether these are veterans or other newbies shouldn't matter so long as everyone can have fun. Alternately, you could look into what Pathfinder Society lodges may be in the local area, and they'll certainly help you to better understand the game.
Did you pick up the beginner box? It's a great place to start to just begin getting the hang of the game. Another excellent book for when you're beginning to get a grasp of the mechanics is the Strategy Guide, which was written with new players in mind. It goes over good ways to build and roleplay the base classes of the game.

I got the entire humble bundle (without the physical box due to shipping costs, damn those where high) So the digital version of the beginner box should be in there.
I do have to say I have played D&D 5e before (still do) and am in the process of starting Shadowrun. Kinda wanna try everything :P
Good man, hope you get stuck into the hobby. If you have played 5th Ed, the core mechanics with Pathfinder are similar, 5th ed is more streamlined, Pathfinder is denser and has a really cool world Golarion. Good luck with Shadowrun, didn't get on with the game mechanics myself. Nothing wrong with trying lots of systems

Yah, finding other players is the determining step. Not to mention that you might find other newcomers so you can learn together, or experienced players who can help out.
Out of just what you have, I'd say dnd 5e might be the easiest to grasp, given how streamlined it is.
Pathfinder has more content to learn, but not too much more so it's also a decent starting point; here's a handy-dandy guide:

Shadowrun...well, I've been playing RPGs for around three years now, from DnD and Pathfinder to Savage Worlds and Call of Cthulhu, and Shadowrun is by far the most complicated thing I've ever encountered. What I do understand about it I happen to really like, but it's not a good starting point for RPG newcomers.

I've been playing D&D 5e since it's out, so about nearly two years. Hve played a few 4th edition games as well, and have a group of friends that are also very interested in multiple systems, so that'll work out I think.
An for shadowrun, the group and I are just immensely interested in the setting and possibilities of it :) We'll do fine (I think :P )
@genememescene: the link doesn't seem to work:(

Hey there, welcome to the fun. If you're looking for advice on how to build a character, I've written a guide to help new people get a handle on how character creation works.
Pretty sure that's the guide GMS was trying to link, but there's plenty of other guides that I and others have written to help you get a hold of how to make characters from the ground up, click on my name if you want to see others I've written.

Hey there :)
Going by your name I'm gonna guess you live in the Netherlands. We have a lively Pathfinder Society community in the Netherlands. We have a website here collecting a lot of practical information about when and where we play.
On 11-13 march we also have an RPG convention in Leiden where we'll be playing a lot of PFS, but also other games like Shadowrun will be on offer. link

I have met with the society before Ascalaphus. Back at Spellen Spektakel in Eindhoven. Unfortunately I haven't a lot of time to go places because of work and the girlfriend. Thanks for the info tho :)
And thanks Jolly, I'll look at it later. :)
Obligations in the real world, our great enemy :P
I know there are some people in Brabant trying to increase the PFS presence there, though I haven't really kept tabs on them because that's just a bit beyond my own travel range most of the time. I think they were Breda-based.
Our two biggest "zones" are in the Leiden/Den Haag/Delft and in Utrecht/Amersfoort/Apeldoorn. There's at least one weekly game in both of those areas, if not more.
In addition, many of us meet up at Ducosim as the sort of quarterly mini-con.

I would recommend focusing on the Core Rulebook, and particularly the Combat chapter. You really want to have a solid understanding of:
+ The different action types (standard, movement, swift, free, and full-round actions).
+ Attacks of Opportunity
+ Cover and Concealment
+ Movement and positioning (Flanking, higher ground, difficult terrain)
+ Combat Maneuvers (Grapple is pretty confusing to a lot of players, you'll eventually want to read through this a couple of times, or maybe even enroll in a correspondence course)
+ Common status conditions (Staggered, shaken, sickened, entangled, disabled)
