Pathfinder battles temple sword +1

What exactly is the point of this card: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pathfinder-Adventure-Card-Game-1x-Temple-Sword-1-Bo on-Card-Iconic-Heroes-1-/371340826864?hash=item5675a358f0

Seems like it lets Sanjan do the blessing thing that he already does....or is it supposed to let him recharge an additional blessing on a combat check?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

There is more than one Sajan (like this one). And more monks that Sajan too (like her and her). Not all monks (nor all Sajans) have the same powers are RotR Sajan (him).

So, if you were Sajan from the Monk class deck, you can use that sweet Temple Sword +1 to roll 1d10 + 1d8+1, recharge a blessing to add 1d10, and then use your power to play a blessing to add 1d12, and get to recharge that blessing too. And if that blessing was Erastil... oh man.

So, in short, monks come in many forms, all of which are awesome.

More monk goodness:
Monk Class Deck

Monks are awesome.

Of course, there's only one Erastil in the Monk deck. And three Gorums. Despite two of the three monks favoring Dexterity for combat. I'll never understand class deck composition.

Thanks this is exactly what I'm asking. I've played that Sanjan most of the way through season 2 and I'm looking to use him for season 3.

So getting his mini from the pathfinder battles box would be fun but considering the price I figured I should be sure the good interpretation of his card is the right one.

I assumed that was to make him more pathfindery by giving him a bit of the pathfinder nerfed feeling.

Yeah, I could do with maybe one more. But I also think that the d12 and recharge are actually good reasons to take other blessings. Use them to help others, and his power provides versatility to make them still powerful for him.

[NOTE: We only have Seasons 0, 1 and 2. I think you mean you're playing Sajan in Season 1.)

Having played Sajan through Season 1 (Season of the Righteous), somewhere past the middle of Adv 4 I switched out the Temple Sword +1. But it certainly was sweet to have it initially in my deck. You don't always have a Magic weapon available and when you do near the beginning, it helps with Incorporeal monsters.

Yeah, I did mean season of the righteous.
