How is treasure officially meant to be handled in the Pathfinder Adventure paths?

Do the PCs only get what is expressly stated, do I need to roll randomly for those creatures whose stat blocks say things like "standard," or what?

How is the GM expected to handle doling out the goods?

They only get what is in the adventure. Taylor it for your group though.

But what if a monster stat block/section simply says "standard" or something similar? Don't I need to roll for that?

No, the APs assume that WBL-or-therebouts is handed out as written in adventure. You don't have to generate extra treasure from monsters.

If your group is not finding everything, or if you have a group <4 characters so the included wealth isn't enough, such that they are below wealth by level, then you can give them more.

I think creatures that are only referenced to a bestiary entry with standard, double, or triple as their treasure amount in their entry are supposed to have that treasure. So yeah, you can either roll randomly for what they have or just give them some simple magic items and the like to save some time.
