Oh, yes indeed. The stakes just got even higher (of course, if a Republican does take the White House, Scalia, probably Thomas, and maybe Kennedy would have quickly retired in order for said President to ring in young blood anyways, so that grim scenario hasn't changed very much), and the campaign season has just experienced another WACKY PLOT TWIST!!!
