What does Soulshear become in the purity forge?

Wrath of the Righteous

I was going to have it be a +2 transformative glaive with the sensience of a houdn archon. And can summon a hound archon.

A little less powereful than a babau - but I am ok wiht that.

I believe this question was posed to James Jacobs in his thread. I don't want to speak for him, but you can look for it there.

Also in the Sword of Valor thread Neil Spicer offers his own input.

Just go to either thread, and in the upper left you'll see "Search Thread" just type soulshear in there and you'll get a few hits.

Hope that helps!

EDIT: And what you're suggesting is what I ended up doing in my game. However I offered the player a chance to do more with it before tossing it into the Purity Forge, but he opted to just toss it in.

My party's Soulshear was 'redeemed' into a +2 transformative glaive that could summon a bralani azata once a day.

(If I remember correctly, for fluff I had the summoned bralani be the soul of the babau, who was redeemed and released to the upper planes by the power of the Forge, or some-such.)

In our campaign "Soulshear" has been redeemed and renamed "Soulsong," +2 transformative glaive that summons a Vulpinal Agathion and was given to Shelynite cleric Sosiel.
