Do Dreams Dream of Real Sheep? [Race]

Homebrew and House Rules

Here's a race that lives on the Dimension of Dreams, since I like the new dream stuff in PF. They're named after the "first actor", since they pretend to be thought-constructs in dreamscapes so they can steal food and water.

Scarab Sages

Interesting! Could use some work, though.

For example, Dream Reading should do something more for them if they do have class levels or feats that grant them occult skill unlocks, otherwise it slightly disincentivizes them to take such classes, which are otherwise very appropriate for them.

Modified to acknowledge if they have a psychic class or psychic sensitivity feat.

In which books can this "new dream stuff" be found?

*shrug* Looks appropriate.

Maybe you want to offer alternative ability modifier schema? I never would have guessed a race of dream-beings would be extraordinarily strong - maybe they're a good candidate for a Goblin-style "-2 any physical -2 any mental +4 one of either" (I think -2 CON, -2 WIS, +4 CHA would sound good)?

Occult adventures primarily with rules for playing on the dimension of dreams, new dream spells, lucid dreamer feat, dream discipline for psychics. But there are also various monsters from the dimension of dreams such as Denizens of Leng (sorta), animate dreams, gugs, voonith, moonbeasts, nightgaunts, baku, dream dragons, Bokrug the Great Old One, nightmare dragons, zoogs, night hags, and theoretically any creature with the dream or nightmare SLA such as vilderavn or bogeymen.

Part of me wanted them to be unnaturally strong despite being very lithe as an aspect of their "wrong" nature. Also, they are already.... very geared towards charisma.

I get that; it's clever. The last thing I want to do is discourage novel thinking. What I'm suggesting is an alternative schema, a bit like Humans' Dual Talent option (or a bit closer to Changelings' Witchborn option).

Nice. Thanks!
