Horticulturist was recently added as an alchemist archtype in Heroes of the Wild. They have a few rather interesting abilities, one of which being:
Seed Extract
"At 1st level, the horticulturist gains the ability to summon amazing animate plants using alchemically treated seeds. The horticulturist adds summon monster I-VI as 1st- through 6th-level extracts, respectively, to his class extract list-- using these extracts takes 1 round (as the spell's normal casting time), and the creature summoned must be placed in a space adjacent to the horticulturist."
They also become plants, but that's irrelevant to the rules question. I'm curious if you can use Augment Summoning with Seed Extract since the wording is a little ambiguous.
Augment Summoining
Each creature you conjure with any summon spell gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength and Constitution for the duration of the spell that summoned it.

By RAW it would not work.
A reasonable DM should probably allow this though, since the intention of horticulturist is seemingly for an alchemist can cast summon spells, and that extracts are just the fluff to do so.
It's not like it's overpowered or anything compared to a regular spellcaster. Still far weaker than the Summoner class, for instance. It's still 1round casting time for instance.
