So I'm poking around Options for Witches and came across the Hedge Witch and Hex Channeler Archetypes. I like them both, and per the rules for using two archetypes of the same base class, I would be able to use both on the same character. I just have a few questions:
1. If I take my 1st character level in Hedge Witch, then my 2nd character level in Hex Channeler, do I still gain a new hex as a 1st level witch, even though the Hex Channeler Replaces the hex gained at 2nd level?
2. Since the Hedge Witch replaces the hexes gained at 4th and 8th levels, does this affect the hexes I gain as a Hex Channeler? Like, when I get to 4th level Hex Channeler, is the hex still replaced?
3. Let's say I'm a 3rd-level Hex Channeler and a 1st-level Hedge Witch, am I considered a 4th level witch for the purposes of spells per day, familiar's ability advancement, and other such class features? Or am I considered to be a 3rd-level witch and a 1st-level witch?
I've looked around other thread that touch on dual-archetyping, but I can't quite seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

You are not understanding how archetypes stack. You do not take one level of one archetype and another level of a second. You are a witch with both archetypes active for every level. In the case the Hedge Witch and Hex Channeler, you would be a witch. At second level you would gain channel energy in place of your 2nd level hex. At 4th level you would gain Spontaneous Healing in place of your 4th level hex. You cannot exchange this for extra channel dice. At 6th level you gain your normal hex which you can exchange for extra channel dice. At 8th level you gain Empathic Healing, which you cannot exchange for extra channel dice.

Actually, your reply is exactly how I understood it at first. The reason I was asking these questions was to make sure I was understanding it correctly, and that the mechanics did not work the other way (the wrong way). Thinking about it, I should have posed my questions as "This is how I'm interpreting this. Is this correct?"
