Ranger Feats Question

Rules Questions

I am relatively new to Pathfinder and am trying to figure something out.

"The ranger's expertise manifests in the form of bonus feats at 2nd, 6th, 10th, 14th, and 18th level. He can choose feats from his selected combat style, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites."

Does the above mean that when the level to get a combat feat is reached the ranger takes two i.e a bonus feat? Or does the bonus simply mean that they can choose from the list given later without needed to normal pre-reqs?

At level 2, you get a new feat for free. This feat is a feat on the list. You ignore prerequisites just this once. This does not change the feats you normally get at 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and other odd levels.

This means that as a single-class ranger, you get feats at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th. 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, and 19th levels.

At levels 2, 6, 10, 14, and 18, you gain an extra bonus feat that must be selected from your chosen combat style.

When choosing these feats, you can ignore all of the normal prerequisites.

Thank you so much! I think at one point I knew this but I got really confused.

No problem. Ranger is a good class to play.
