Ninja / monk power Fiery Shurikens, will this work?

I want a Ninja talent and monk Ki power that will work as the Fiery Shurikens spell. Is giving it a 1 point ki cost good? And is there any other changes that I need for it to work? This way this is better than the Ki charge ninja trick that is not very good anyway. Do I need this power to have a requirement of 3rd level or higher?

Well you could change it to flaming not exploding for flavor but Ki Charge can do basically that.

With the fiery shurikens spell, it gives more damage plus it hits touch AC, with no save? I forgot it has more range than shurikens.

I did not notice the touch AC, but atleast you could possibly modify that ninja trick. Also considering that ninja trick costs 1 ki point, I think a fiery shuriken spell version would cost atleast 2 ki if not more.
