Can we have mechanics for non wizards to loot / buy spellbooks?

Wait, if a Strawman Argument is attacking something someone didn't actually say, what is an absurd statement that never could or should happen? A goblin barbarian who starts to collect spells in a spellbook would cease to be both a goblin and a barbarian. They would become a small green wizard.

A fighter with a few odd feats so they can copy down spells but not use them is acceptable.

Can a Tome Eater Occultist (who can re-gain mental focus point for "eating" a spellbook) use this FAQ to scribe/craft a spellbook himself?

So if the Occultist has a spell craft of +6, then he can scribe spells into a blank spellbook? Is this correct?

Seems legit. Thats an expensive palate though.

You're probably going to want one master spellbook and then make copies that you nom on instead of having to re pay the library fees all the time.

I think this is a good idea. I played a lot of Living Greyhawk and a lot of times there were spell books on the ARs.

Why do you think this will put spell books on the Chronicles? I do not see this change effecting that at all... (if anything, I think it will reduce the chance of spellbooks appearing on chronicles).
