Zombie Lords & Pharasma

Homebrew and House Rules

So recently (August I think), my neutral and deity free cleric was turned into a Zombie Lord by my GM. So to add substance to my character, I want to use the experience as a reason to start worshipping a neutral deity. Enter Pharasma, hater of undead. However, she IS the Goddess of Rebirth. So, would it really be too much of a stretch to say that my forced transition into undeath could be seen as a potentially useful sinkhole on the road to my 'rebirth' as a living being?

From your side, perhaps - you tell me :) . From her side? Only if you get your sorry carcass ASAP to the nearest spellcaster, who can affect a raise dead, reincarnate, or whatever spell or miracle can get you into proper living. No detours, philosophical discussions, or snack breaks on the way.

Pharasma is the goddess of death and any form of artificial postponement of death is essentially a violation of what she represents. Any willful continuation of such an existence is a rejection of one of her core universal principles. Your character may have his or her own interpretation, but a few ranks in knowledge religion should make it very clear that it is not likely to be shared by the Pharasmin faith, come hell or high water.

It has very little to do with her or your alignment - there are certain things the PF deities stand for and will not budge from. Individual people may have such heretical views, just don´t expect her to come hand you spells for your slots just yet.
