So I'm running a homebrew campaign in Brevoy, and I plan on doing a lot with the Grozni woods. I created a group of people that are dedicated to protecting the interests of the woods, composed of treants, pixies, and centaurs.
They function to keep outsiders from doing too much harm to the forest, and insiders that have passed over from the first world from running rampant.
The leader of this group of nature wardens is a higher level (probably 15) centaur druid, and I'm just not sure how I want to build him.
So, paizo community, with your vast knowledge of optimization please help me make this leader not a pushover in the event that my pcs ever come to blows with this organization. I'd like to keep most of the features and feats to APG and Core, but if that's too constricting then I'll take anything.

The south bank of the Shrike River next to Restov belongs to the Nomen Centaurs, who are covered in book 3, The Varnhold Vanishing. The Nomen are at odds with Restov, and skirmish frequently. Nikva's(?) Crossing is downstream from Restov some 40-50 miles, its the only bridge/ford indicated and it is fortified against the Nomen.
Book 3 also includes a map of Iobaria to the east, and more information on Iobarian centaurs and such.
There are also bits throughout the AP concerning Brevoy, Issia/Rostland, the Stolenlands. Some possible outcomes that include the Grozni Forest & what happens between Issia & Rostland, which the forest is right on the border of. Civil War in Brevoy is the near future.
Most of the forest is controlled by House Medvyed either wholly or partly, depending on the campaign.
You should also look at Realm of the Fellnight Queen, lots of druids, centaurs, fey in a beseiged forest.
