Let's say I were to preorder all the upcoming Iconic Heroes sets. (I'm strongly considering it.)
1) Since I'm paying for them now, the discount applies even if my Case Subscription is inactive at that time. Is this correct?
2a) How is shipping handled? Will it charge me now?
2b) If shipping isn't handled now, do I pay for shipping when they release?
2c) Will they automatically end up with my other subscriptions? Will that delay those shipments?

No preorders are charged until they ship, so I think you wouldn't get the discount unless your Battles subscription is active when each Iconic Heroes set comes out.
If you have the Hold for Subscription Shipment option selected, your minis would ship with the first subscription shipment after they come in and would adjust the shipping price for that shipment accordingly.
They shouldn't delay your other subscriptions, but waiting for your next subscription may delay your minis shipping. (Case in point, Iconic Heroes Set 4 came in too late for the December shipment, so mine will sit around the Paizo warehouse waiting for my January shipment.) You can always choose to ship your sidecart items to get them separately once they're available if they're off-schedule again.

So, I've added a Pathfinder Battles subscription. It's "starting" with the Rusty Dragon Inn case and incentive. If I have Iconic Heroes Set #4 in my sidecart when the order spawns in January, will the discount be applied to it? If I have individual minis in my sidecart will the discount be applied to them as well?

Well, we don't charge for the items before they're processed for shipping, so that takes care of questions 1 - 2b.
As for 2c, you can choose to put the Iconic Heroes into your sidecart, or leave them in their own order to be sent out when they are ready. If you put them in the sidecart, they should only be pulled out once they are ready to go, so they should not hold up your shipment. If you have any troubles figuring out how to do that in the system, you can always let us know and we can take a look to make sure they're in the right place.

Yes, if the preorders are in your sidecart, you may not see the discount appear until the actual order is spawned. If you receive your subscription confirmation email and do not see the appropriate discounts, just let a member of our Customer Service team know (either via messageboard, email, or phone) and we can make sure to get that resolved.This goes for both the Iconic sets and the individual minis, as long as they are part of a line that benefits from the Battles discount.
