Swift Spells

The Exchange

Do spells that have a cast time of a swift or immediate action provoke attacks of opportunity? I'm trying to find a way to make my melee inquisitor's spell casting useful for something other than casting cures on myself to keep me going.

No, they do not.

The Exchange

Can you show me where it says that?

Core 213 under casting time for a swift spell.

It's also on 188. Also, although I don't see a definite statement on immediate actions, I'm sure it's the same, since an immediate action is slightly better -- meaning it can be performed even if it's not your turn.

Thank you very much

From the PRD:

Quote:
An immediate action is very similar to a swift action, but can be performed at any time—even if it's not your turn.

So yes, anything that applies to Swift Actions also applies to Immediate Actions.
