Cora's Prestige...Necessary with PF swashbuckler class?

What is the point of taking the duelist prestige class when it seems as if the Swashbuckler hybrid class does it better?

None, but mostly the NPCs were built using classes that existed when it was written.

For example Gheves is better as a summoner....imho
