I'm planning out a Halfling sling staff warpriest/hunter. He has an animal companion he rides around on. He also has the Warslinger trait. Here are his proposed feats:
Level 1: Point Blank Shot
Level 3: Combat Expertise
Level 3 Bonus Teamwork: Pack Flanking
Level 5: Slipslinger
Level 6 Bonus: Outflank,
Level 7: Weapon Specialization
Level 7 Bonus Teamwork: Enfilading Fire
Level 9: Point Blank Master
Level 9 Bonus: Coordinated Shot
If I'm reading this right, when I ride my AC into melee I
1. Full attack with 2 shots without provoking (Warpriest trait, Slipslinger, Point Blank Master)
2. Threaten with the melee part of the sling staff and therefore create a Flank with my AC (Pack Flanking)
3. Gain +4 on Ranged attacks (Coordinated Shot, Enfilading Fire)
So, do I have this right? If so this is really awesome! The point of the character is to be support and a switch hitter. By 9th level in the above situation with my current gear and no buffs running I'll be looking at
Ranged +1 sling staff +19/+14 (+6 BAB, +5 Dex, +1 Enhancement, +1 Point Blank Shot, +1 Size, +1 Weapon Focus, +2 Coordinated Shot, +2 Enfilading Fire)/1d6 +6 (Damage Die from Warpriest Sacred Weapon, +1 Str, +1 Enhancement, +1 Slipslinger, +1 Point Blank Shot, +2 Weapon Specialization)
Please correct me if I'm off here. Thanks!

A couple of clarifying notes:
1) You will want Precise Shot--that -4 into melee penalty will hurt. (You will usually be taking a -4 cover penalty, too, so estimate your attacks at -8.)
2) If your mount double moves, you take a -4 penalty on ranged attacks (and you'll need to make a Ride check to use both hands on your weapon).
One question: why do you have the Warpriest levels? Your sling staff is already doing 1d6 from level one, so if you're doing it for the sacred weapon die increase, it doesn't help you. (If you're doing it for other reasons, that works.)

As per a clarification from Paizo, the warslinger racial trait does not apply to staff slings, only slings. I think it's a reasonable house rule to allow it to apply to staff slings as well, but maybe run it by your GM.
(Unless it's been errataed later and I just didn't notice?)

ok first things first:
i like that build, funny idea.
i´d consider picking rapid shot. an additional attack is a huge damage boost. -2 doesnt really hurt you, since you have a ton of bonuses.
i´d consider picking precise shot. if i understand you right, you plan to fight melee with you slingshot. so you will always "shoot into melee" and get -4. that hurts to much. also you Need it for enfilading fire
Edited the rest away, forgot 1 rule, Point 3 is 100% correct.
+4 for your AC by flank+outflank
+4 on ranged attack for you by coordinated shot (+2) and enfilading fire (+2).

We started the campaign before the Weaponmaster's Handbook came out. I Started the campaign with a sling and when I first planned the PC I thought: maybe I can carry a shield but then use it to threaten and forego the AC bonus every round to achieve the Threaten for Flanking.
When Slipslinger hit from the Handbook I decided to go that route instead.
To your other point what if I took Precise Shot instead of Coordinated Shot at 9th? I'd lose +2 attack bonus when firing while threatening but I'd also drop the -4 firing into melee.
As far as the rules go however it looks like you're all confirming I can threaten to create a flank while still ranged attacking.

thats pretty clear i think. if someone argues, while Shooting you dont use the sling staff as melee weapon, just pick up armor Spikes, or sth like this and you will be fine.
i´d replace coordinated. coordinated gives +2 = +10% hit-Chance.
precise shot negates the -4 so it effectivly gives you +20% hit Chance.
since your AC doesnt benefit from coordinated, its worth swapping.
i wonder on wich Level you took the warpriest.
on 2nd Level the hunter gains either outflank or precise shot for free.
you picked outflank as Bonus teamfeat at Level 6. it seems you forgot to pick the free feat at Level 2 then. (Precise Companion (Ex))
