Here at Raging Swan Press, we are only $30 away from something epic!
We launched our Patreon campaign back in April and since then 86 of you have joined us pledging $371 for every book we release. These guaranteed sales have in turn allowed us to massively the word rate we pay our designers. We’ve gone from paying one cent a word to paying seven cents a word.
But I want to do more. We are only $30 away from increasing our pay rate for artists and cartographers.
After that, we are only $200 away from cranking up our word rate to nine cents a word (which would be beyond epic). That’s huge—and something I really want to do. It would put us almost on parity with top tier publishers like Paizo and Wizards of the Coast and ensure our designers are getting a fair wage for their efforts. It will also mean that (hopefully) I’ll be able to secure even more releases from such awesome designers as Alexander Augunas, John Bennett, Richard Green, Jacob Trier, Josh Vogt, Nicholas Wasko, Mike Welham and more! Who knows—I might even be able to talk myself into writing even more!
So I need your help. We are only $30 away from hitting our next milestone. With $2 and $5 pledge levels we only need somewhere between 6 and 15 people to sign up. (We’ve even recently launched a $10 pledge rate!)
In return for your support, you get:
- A weekly dose of high quality GM focused material designed to make your campaign prep easier.
- A warm fuzzy feeling that you are helping designers earn a proper wage for their efforts.
- Every book before it goes on general release.
- Every book cheaper than normal (if you pledge at the $2 level).
So if you’ve got a couple of spare dollars please consider joining us. You can learn more about our Patreon campaign here. Thanks very much in advance (hopefully) for your support!

As a $5 pledge level Patreon member of Raging Swan Press, I very much enjoy the investment benefits of said membership. And while I've posted a lot of monologues about a number of excellent PF 3PP publishers as of late on these very forums, there's good reasons why Raging Swan continues to be my all-time favorite PF 3PP. Those reasons are numerous and have everything to do with RSP's consistent publishing of breathtakingly inspiring gaming products with painstaking attention to quality control. Yet it's all topped-off in Creighton's very overt intent to compel yet even more world-class writing talent into his already stellar label by working hard to offer higher pay rate to talented & creative authors. A few of my Raging Swan reviews on my profile offer more of a glimpse into my love of RSP.
My apologies if I sound too much like a fanboy dripping in honey over here. Lol. But my passion for Raging Swan goodies are pretty much unrivaled within my small sphere of influence. It all probably became rooted from the positive feedback I received from all my players (in both my tabletop groups) who truly love the Raging Swan adventures that I've GM'ed for them.
Anyhow, it's also a fun Patreon to belong to. Creighton goes out of his way to interact with his Patreon folk. All in all, a terrific experience. Cheers!

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, and apparently life has decreed that it will be sooner. Due to some very irritating and some financially devastating news today, I have to cut my extras expenses and unfortunately that means ending my patronage of Raging Swan's patreon at this time. Once life improves, I will be back, but going to take a while I suspect.
For those on the fence, as Lorathorn says, I too have enjoyed everything I have received through the Patreon.
Thanks as always Creighton. Continued luck with the Patreon.
