Hey all,
Just came across some more cards that have raised questions in the group as we are all new at this so I apologise.
Firstly, when recharging, some instructions say to put the card(s) at the bottom of your deck and then seem to imply to immediately draw that amount of cards off the top. Is this what should alway happen with recharging, or do we wait until the end of our turn to reset our hands as usual?
Secondly when a card says 'you may', is this always optional?....for example, after defeating henchmen, it can say 'you may attempt to close this location. Or with chest barriers it says if you've failed the check 'you may banish' it....do we have to? Or can I just shuffle it back into the deck?
Many thanks!

I think you may have been getting confused between recharging a card and resetting your hand :)
As Parody said, recharging a card simply means you put it at the bottom of your deck. You do not draw again or do anything else besides put it at the bottom of your deck when recharging a card.
Resetting your hand is what you do at the end of your turn. First, you can discard any number of cards. Then, you draw up to your hand size if you have less cards than your hand size, or discard down to your hand size if you have more cards.
Some powers interact with both of those. For example, a power that says "When you would recharge a card, you may shuffle it into your deck instead." would allow you to shuffle cards into your deck instead of recharging them. They still do not allow you to draw any new cards, though, because they don't say they do. Similarly, you may find the power "If proficient with light armors, you may recharge this card when you reset your hand." That means that when resetting your hand, you can put this on the bottom of your deck. Then you typically get to draw a new card to replace it because you are resetting your hand at the time.
Remember, Cards Do What They Say and Cards Don't Do What They Don't Say. There are no "implied" powers -- if it isn't listed on the card, it isn't allowed on the bus.

I'm guessing Crimson might've gotten tripped up by the bandits forcing you recharge and then draw a card in Brigandoom. That being the first scenario, it put a direct link between recharging and drawing in our head, and we were a ways into RotR before we realized you DIDN'T draw a card every time a Bandit made you recharge one.
