Elusive Target and elusive-redirection

Rules Questions

Elusive Redirection.

Flowing Monk.

Both Elusive Target and and Elusive Redirection require an immediate action, which you can't do. Shouldn't the wording on Elusive redirection not require an immediate action?

Broken links?

I don't see why they should use the same action. They're separate abilities that provide separate and different effects under separate circumstances. Depending on the circumstance, you might want to do a different action.

Redirection functions in melee, Elusive Target functions regardless of if you're in melee or not. Redirection runs on its own fixed pool of 1/level, Elusive Target runs off of your ki pool. Redirection debuffs an opponent, whereas Elusive Target reduces damage you would take. If you're confident that you're not going to be hurt badly, Redirection seems to be the better option, but if you know the enemy hits hard or at range, Elusive Target seems to be better. It also depends on your resources available at the moment.

This is like how Inquisitors have both Judgement and Bane available as a swift action. You have to choose which one is more appropriate at the moment.

What I believe he was referring to was elusive redirection, not redirection, they are 2 different things. Elusive redirection is a feat that allows you upon using elusive target to spend an immediate action and an additional ki point to redirect the attack back at them. The problem lie in it requires you to use elusive target which is an immediate action, but also requires an immediate action itself. https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/elusive-redirection/
