They both have some impact on Book 2. But I don't see where they got the 7th level spell in order to not broken leg / blind.
Does "cure Blindness" work on Arav? Technically his had his eyes whipped out.

Queen Galfrey is able to restore them if she's asked by the players.
Cure blindness specifically does not work on Aravashnial as he lost his eyes. Ssyvan is correct in that Queen Galfrey can provide a regenerate scroll for him.
