Hello pazio members I am playing a 2nd lvl wizard and at the end of our most recent session we hit 3rd lvl and we each got around 7000 gold this is the first time playing a wizard so I'm looking for advice on what to spend my gold on, btw we are using automatic bonus progression.
Here is my character
Stats:
Elf
10,15,14,18,12,10
Universalist wizard
Feats:
Scribe scroll
Combat casting
As far as my build is concerned I'm thinking of going he'll knight enforcer and casting spells in full plate?
Hope to hear some advice

Treantmonk's Guide to Pathfinder Wizards: Being a God
This guide is focused on conjuring, but it offers a lot of general advice as well.
Umm, I do not reccomend wearing full plate for any reason. Wizards do not mix with armor, and full plate is the worst armor there is for trying to cast arcane spells. The arcane spell failure chance is not worth it.
Personally, since you are using automatic bonus progression, this is what I recommend:
Mithral small shield. +1 AC and has no arcane spell failure chance.
Handy Haversack (carrying stuff)
Rod of Metamagic Extend, Lesser (increase buff durations)
Ring of Sustenance (sleep less and still prepare spells)
Pearl of Power level 1 (moar spells!)
Wands
More wands
No seriously, buy some wands

Wizards, unlike martial classes don't need to spend money on armor or weapons nearly as much. There are a couple suggestions I could make as to what to buy. A lot does depend on what you want your wizard to do; is he there to blast, buff/debuff, summon? Keep in mind you always want to stay back and if you plan on using ray attacks Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot are really handy since they apply to your ranged touch spells.
Items that increase Int and Dex are always handy. Int for more spells and higher save DCs and dex for some AC and reflex saves. Wizards have crap saves so anything that bumps those up will be tasty. At your level, even a Cloak of Resistance +1 is a good way to spend 1000gp. I personally like to create some custom items for my caster. If your GM allows it, build Boots of Vanishing. They are cheap to build and can get you out of a pinch really quickly. Basically if you are surrounded you click your heels as a free action and have 2 rounds of invisibility to get the hell out of there.
Here is the
Make them Use-activated with a couple charges per day.
Cost Breakdown is as follows:
Use Activated: Spell level × caster level × 2,000 gp
Charges Per Day: Divide Base Price by (5 divided by charges per day)
Using Vanish CL 2 to give you two rounds of vanish per activation and 2 activation per day. Activation is a free action to click your heels together. (See Boots of Teleportation)
Base Price = ((1 x 2 x 2000)/(5/2)) = 1600gp
Another fun spell to do this with is mirror image.
As CampinCarl pointed out, wands are also really useful and so are scrolls. You can scribe them yourself for half-price which is nice. Metamagic rods are also good because they have X uses per day but don't increase spell slot levels. Pearls of power are good to give you a few more spells to cast in a day. Don't forget about AC items like bracers of AC or Natural AC. Anything that stacks is gravy. One other fun thing to do is buy armor with no Spell Failure (Silken Ceremonial Robes) and enchant the crap out of those since they take up an armor slot and not a body or chest slot. It can be a nice way to give yourself some skill buffs, some SR if you have the cash, or energy resistance.
That's about all I can think of at the moment. It really depends on what you plan to do with your wizard.

Nice. You're above the WBL curve AND you have automatic bonuses. You're RICH!
Pearls of Power. Cheap, (cheaper if you make them and you should be able to at level 3 if you took Craft Wondrous Item).
Scribe some scrolls for yourself. Take all those spells in your spellbook that you think you will almost never use and you're sure you'll never want to prepare them in a slot (because you won't use them that day and you will have wasted that slot) and then scribe one or two onto a scroll. Now you have all these awkward rarely-used spells at your fingertips when you need them.
Buy wands (or make them in a couple more levels) for spells you use all the time and want to stop preparing, like Mage Armor. 1 charge from a wand and you have a full hour of Mage Armor and you didn't use up your own spell slot for it. 50 charges is good for just about 50 adventuring days. By the time you're done with those charges, you'll be much higher level and won't think your level 1 spell slots are so valuable anymore.
