Ok. So to make a long story short, soon I'll have access to abilities where I can shape shift into a large animal, and teleport up to 80ft in a turn. I have the boots of the cat that give me minimal damage from falling and I'm interested in seeing how much, if any, damage I would do to an enemy if I were to shape shift into say, a gorilla, and land on them from 70-80 ft in the air.
Also, would one require an attack roll to hit the enemy if you're just falling onto them?

Alright, so there's two ways falling objects behave. One is "thrown", or targeting a specific creature. That uses:
Dropping an object on a creature requires a ranged touch attack. Such attacks generally have a range increment of 20 feet. The second is targeting an area, which uses:
If an object falls on a creature (instead of being thrown), that creature can make a DC 15 Reflex save to halve the damage if he is aware of the object.
So either make a ranged touch attack (presumably with no maximum range, or this makes no sense) or the target gets a DC 15 Reflex check. One of those two.
I can't translate the table that well but it's 2d6 for small, then goes 3d6, 4d6, 6d6, 8d6, and 10d6 as you go up in size. If it's made of something less heavy and dense (the rules assume stone) it does less damage, possibly down to half. If it falls more than 150 feet is does double damage, if it falls less than 30 it does half.
So a large, squishy object from 80 feet up would do between 2d6 and 4d6 damage and either require a ranged touch attack to hit or have a DC 15 Reflex save for half. It's... not a great plan. Assuming 2d6, you'd take more damage than you deal on average.
Rules are here.
