Void Composite Blasts

Homebrew and House Rules

Having picked up Occult origins as soon as the pdf became available for purchase, I simply had to brew something inspired by it. I felt it was worth sharing here as well as on the GitP forums. Given differences in formatting, and the ease of editing over there, I will simply provide a link. Feedback is more than welcome, as always. To the point, here are a number of composite blasts to fill in some niches not previously filled.

Void Composite Blasts Tread

Detailed in the link above Ashen blast, crystalline blast, dust blast, grave dirt blast, rotting blast, salt blast, star blast, unholy water blast, and vacuum blast. With perhaps more to come, by suggestion.

Nifty. Now for a Positive Energy kineticist. Then again, that might be TOO overpowered.

Actually, it would be too weak outside of a Undead Slaying game, because it would most likely have the same language as Void's negative energy blasts and won't heal the living.

I could see a positive energy kineticist who is a devoted healer who may get some abilities to deal damage to the undead, but the standard wouldn't be able to harm anyone. I don't know.. it would take some work to get it to be balanced.

To the content above, I had started out with blasts like Shadowfire Blast, but after noticing negative admixture which covers the energy combinations. So, there are fortunately/unfortunately less options that are covered in the link than there could have been. Im open to expanding, but I need ideas.

In other news, I threw together a feat to allow for interaction between Negative Blast and Channeling Feats. Im sure it could use some tweaking to get it balanced proper, and while the language does explain it I feel it doesn't have quite the finesse I wish it had, simply feeling like a clunky mess to me. In any case, here is a link to Chaokinetic Channeling.

Seeing Chaokinetic makes me want to have one and name him Ian Malcolm.

Having the positive energy deal burn to people would probably balance it out pretty well(maybe 2 burn), and maybe allowing drain infusion to work on all creatures that are healed by positive energy.

Well, I do think a Life elemental focus would make for an interesting creation. Im not feeling up for the task, but if someone wants to take a crack at it then I would love to see it.

Heh. I do not blame you.

"That's, that's chaokinesis."

Funny thing is that Chaotician isn't even a real word. Malcolm was talking out his rear end in an attempt to impress Dr. Sattler.

Well, we could actually debate on what a real word is or is not, and when a word becomes a word. We can use it in a sentence, we can extrapolate what it means, and almost certainly there are people who take on the title. He may have thrown it together and thrown it out, or for all I know there was a use before that of the term.

But regardless that really is aside from the point.

On another matter, another void element centered brew that can mesh with this, known as the cruelty savant.
