I am aware that one can take a feat to empower channeling at the cost of two uses but have a suggestion for alternate channeling.
Focused Channeling:When a cleric chooses their choice of channeling when created, the can opt for focused channeling. When using focused channeling, the amount healed/inflicted is empowered. However, the cleric may not use the channeling for other uses(A healing cleric cannot damage undead by channeling, and a harming cleric cannot heal living targets)
Possible addition of not being able to Turn/Command undead? Ex, healing cleric cannot turn undead.
Ex. Petra the cleric of Shelyn is an expert healer whose waves of golden energy heals the most dire wounds. However, she must rely on other methods to protect against the undead.
Mark the crusading priest of Sarenrae is the bane of undead, his domains of Sun and Glory burn them to ash. The gentler arts of healing are closed to him, so he must rely on his prayers.
Seems on par with some of the cleric archetype changes, you have my seal of approval.
But would it extend to lay on hands even when not used to channel?
Lose the ability to harm undead in exchange for 1.5x healing on channel positive energy? I'd take that for my life oracles and life shamans in a heartbeat.
I'd say it doesn't extend to lay on hands. I figure paladins will be healing pretty much or whacking undead/outsiders with Channel smite more
