Dragon PDFs

Does anyone know if the Dragon Magazine PDFs were OCR scanned? I'd like to copy/paste parts of one of the old articles, and if I can pay 5 bucks to save cutting apart my print copy, I will.

I've copied and pasted with no problems from ones I bought.
