Shardra Visionary takes "[x] When you attempt a check to defeat a barrier you may use your knowledge skill instead of the listed skill".
Shardra succeeds at the check.
Does this count as succeeding at a knowledge check for the purposes of "When you succeed at a knowledge check..."?
I think this might fall under a similar rule to the "If I'm making a Perception check, and my Perception is based on my Wisdom, do cards that help Wisdom checks help my Perception?" FAQ ruling, but it's slightly different so confirmation of how it works would be helpful

Yep.
"The skill you’re using for the check, and any skill referenced by that skill, are added as traits to the check. For example, if your character has the skill Melee: Strength +2, and you are using your Melee skill, both the Strength and the Melee traits are added to the check."
and later:
"Traits also determine the type of check; for example, if you’re attempting a combat check and you played a weapon that added the Ranged trait, it counts as a Ranged combat check."
So if you're using the Knowledge skill, the first bit tells us that the Knowledge trait is added to the check, and the second bit tells us it therefore counts as a Knowledge check.
