You would get more out of this point buy:
16 str, 12 dex, 13 con, 10 Int, 12 wis, 10 cha
What kind of build you going for?
Forget the sling and pick up a slingstaff. It is both ranged and melee weapon.
Then find a 1 handed weapon and quickdraw shield. Make sure your choice of weapons can penetrate different DR. Bludgeoning, slashing, piercing, cold iron
Also since you have a lance a ranseur is a 2nd reach weapon...I feel it overlaps.
On my ranger (click picture) I use a lance, a cold iron lance, a sling staff and a longsword. But only the main weapon is enchanted...others are just Masterwork.
If your going mounted I advise buying a giant gecko and let your wolf fight in melee while you ride the gecko the first 5 levels.

This is literally the first time I have brought this character to pfs, with ALL of the stuff that that implies for my starting wealth. I will take your advice on the other stuff though.
I am thinking that I will be charging with the lance, then dismounting and going to town with the ranseur. If that is problematic then let me know.

So what feats did you take? And what feats did your animal take?

Well Again I still recommend the Giant Gecko. It is 160gp to buy one that is Wartrained and can be ridden on the walls and ceilings to get better charge lanes. Any flat 15ft ceiling or lower becomes an amazing charging lane that enemies can not reach you (Unless they have reach) and friendlies do not block your charging lane.
So after your First adventure I am positive you can afford a Gecko of DOOM!!!
The issue with doing half mounted and half unmounted is what feats to take to keep DPR up. You can spread your feats out to do both or you can specialize to be really good at 1. Pathfinder system rewards Specialization and Tends to punish people who try to focus on too many things. But Luckily PFS is not optimized at all and you can get away with sub-par picks and builds.
My recommendation is the Feat Power Attack. Regardless if you are on or off your mount you are getting use out of it. It boosts your damage.
For mounted feats Mounted Combat, Ride By Attack, and Spirited charge is the way to successfully pull off good mounted damage. There are more mounted feats but those 3 are the core of a mounted build.
For a 2 handed weapon build power attack is king. Combat reflexes is a great choice on reach weapons but not necessary.
I really like using a longsword for my slashing damage because of spirited charge working with a Longsword for 2x damage and it gives you a melee weapon you can use with your shield for some more AC. And a shield is very nice considering all mounted combat damage is considered to be 2 handed. So you can use a Shield while Lancing.
But Up to level 5 Terrain will be a big issue till you can afford things like potion of Fly for your mount. The Gecko can make environment challenges easy peezy. Climbing a fort wall or scouting will be super easy. And you can take a Gecko anywhere.

Power Attack, Spirited Charge, Ride-by Attack and never dismount.
You missed mounted Combat.
But I agree I have only been dismounted for a single 1v6 fight in 8 levels. So in 24 sessions with an average of 4 fights per session...a total of 96 fights...I have been forced to dismount 1 time. And the time I was dismounted to enter a spa I used my Sling staff on a Half-elf whom was my favored enemy...so she took 2 hits from me instead of being Obliterated in the normal single charge 1 shot kill.
Of course I am a Ranger and my Animal companion is a Giant Gecko so my Gecko is pretty well off for surviving combat.
There is a certain amount of gratification when you kill bosses in a single hit and the rogue goes. "Damn and I thought I did high damage...you just make my damage look pitiful."

Piranha strike is not better for any race.
The choice between Piranha strike Verse Power attack is what type of build your making.
Same goes for Deadly Aim verse Power attack. If your building a STR based melee type you sure are not going to pick Deadly aim or Piranha strike.
Now 2 very overlooked Feat on a mounted build I feel is Horn of the Cyrosphinx. Once you get a 22-24 Str it is totally worth it for Lancer builds. And the other feat is Big Game hunter. Most people overlook Big game hunter due to taking Wheeling charge. Both feats Tie you to a region....and wheeling charge is superior to an extra 6 damage when you hit.
Now what I can say is I screwed up badly on my gear in PFS. I wish I got my Mount Mithral Chain Barding (after the MW studded Leather barding) and used Rhino Hide for my Ranger....but Since I started playing other characters I have not gotten around to switching it out. Also wish I never bought the amulet of NA for the Mount instead a cloak of Resistance (tho saves where decent with his feats).

I would rework the point buy to fit dex or str base. Your to all over the place with your ability scores. This will not be a problem until later in game play (Level 7+). I'm just saying learn from my mistakes.
In practice Combat Reflexes is not used very much. The exception is for Str base reach weapon fighting. I would change out Precise Strike for Ferocious Loyalty if you can take it. It is found in players guide blood of moon. It grants you a +1 moral bonus to hit if they are threating any one that has this feat. Their is more to it then just that so look it up.
You animal companion starts with one feat. So you can have Armor Proficiency, or Toughness not both. I will suggest Toughness over light armor unless you plan on taking medium armor as well.

He gets light armor proficiency at first lvl due to being a cavalier mount.

Buying into armor profiency for a mount you protect with mounted combat is bad.
Not to mention both MW studded leather and mithral chain boarding has a ACP of 0. So no profiency is needed. That is why I regret the amulet of NA...I could have gave him +1 mithral barding for just a few more gold pieces.

Ferocious Loyalty is only legal if you're a skinwalker or are applying your skinwalker boon to a non-skinwalker character. So unless you're one of the 100 or so GMs that got one at Gencon this year or the guy from a couple years ago that bought the skinwalker boon from the charity auction, it's not a legal choice.
