I know that Sense Motive can be used to notice if a creature is charmed, dominated or otherwise affected by an enchantment effect, but is it also possible to similarly notice whether a creature has been possessed, such as via magic jar or the new possession line of spells from Occult Adventures? It doesn't seem to be part of the new occult skill unlocks presented in OA, so I don't know where else to look. Any help would be appreciated!

I'll admit I don't know is there's actual rules or not, but the way I'd play it is matching your sense motive against the possessor's bluff. That makes the most sense to me, but feel free to disregard this if you find proper rules for it.
Yeah, I guess that would probably make sense. Although, the more I think about it the more I start wondering whether it's a Bluff or Disguise check that the possessing creature should make? Hrm. This is a tricky one.
Again, this just how I would do it, but I think bluff would make more sense, since disguise refers to actually changing your appearance. It's not like the possessor has to try to look like the person they're possessing, their concern would be acting like the person, make sense?
Yeah, I think I'm going to go with that unless something more tangible shows up. It does make sense.
Bluff is reasonable if you're looking for a roll.
Keep in mind that (depending on how well the characters know the possessed), you don't even necessarily need to roll for it. Magic Jar does not grant the caster any knowledge of the host's past, their relationships, or their specific knowledge. Some of these would be almost impossible to bluff your way out of also. There should be IC/RP clues that something is very, very wrong with almost anyone you know well when they're possessed via Magic Jar or a similar spell.
That's true for magic jar, though would the same apply to possession, which does allow the possessor to telepathically communicate with it's host at will?
Oh, man, I hadn't even noticed that addition to possession as opposed to good ol' MJ. The plot thickens! D:
Yeah, especially since Occult Adventures specifically recommends you change out magic jar for possession for any of the monsters that previously had magic jar as a spell-like ability, like shadow demons.
