As a GM I was wondering if it would break anything to remove the "must include verbal component" portion of the Bard's spellcasting for the Archaeologist archetype and others that, like it, don't include bardic performance abilities. I'm leaning towards it not being a big deal, but wanted to get the opinion of others.
I don't see a good reason to do so. Unless you're planning on investing in silent metamagic rods, you're simply playing by the same rules as every other spellcaster in the game.
