Where does the time go?

Off-Topic Discussions

As I sit here waiting for a class to begin, I thought of something that could be interesting:
What are you doing instead of gaming?

Let's list the things that take up our time, job, family, education, (non-gaming) hobby, so on.

For my part, I work full time and attend college full time. I have recently acquired a cat, but she doesn't take up much time.

Pizza.

With anchovies.

Something fishy about that.

I work for an accounting company and have a fairly regular cycle of heavy overtime every three months and semi-often inbetween.

I am cohabitating (I'd say co-renting but they don't pay anything) with two cats, a black-and-white shorthair named Eclair and a calico fluffball named Leliana. (No, I did not name them, so you have their prior owners and/or the shelter to blame for the missed Dragon Age reference, I've never played it.)

I administrate and DM for a Neverwinter Nights online persistent world server called "Cormyr and the Dalelands". A great deal of my free time is taken up playing or running storyline events there.

I am working on various story projects, many of them collaborations with my friend Scintillae. We have at least one story about 2/3 written, paused right now due to real life business, other distractions such as NWN, and needing to do some plot revisions on the completed portions.

Outside of NWN and Pathfinder, I enjoy video games, particularly JRPGs like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Bravely Default, and so forth, though I'm also fond of Zelda (2D only, though! I'm the rare heretic who doesn't like Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask) and similar games such as the Mana series or Terranigma. I'm also a big Pokemon fan, and particularly enjoy playing hacks and fanmade variants of the games. I'm not incredibly huge about modern games outside Nintendo portable console games, though I would like to get a Wii U sometime eventually but that's mostly for Virtual Console outside a few exceptions; most of my favorite games are from the SNES, PS1, and PS2 eras. Meaning yes, I'm a big fan of the emulation scene and retro console revival, though I'm not involved in any way other than as a player.

Likewise, I tinker around with RPG Maker 2003 and VX Ace. Haven't managed to actually complete any of those projects yet, however.

And though this ties back into Pathfinder and dice-gaming, it's separate enough: I spend a fair bit of time working on my group's homebrew setting, fleshing out the races and cultures and geography and so forth.
