Hi Everyone!
I am fairly new to this RPG thing so I am seeking your help with writing a campaign!
We have a wizard, a mage, a rouge (who this story is for), a cleric and a fighting cleric. Recently, we did a campaign for the wizard to join the wizards guild and the cleric (me) to join my temple (mine was about returning a religious red gem to the temple - turns out the one we found was a fake.. I mention this as I would like it to be part of the thieves one I am writing).
So this campaign, I am hoping to get our rough into the thieves guild.
I have an idea of what I am wanting to do but have never written a story as such before.
Here is the story line I would like to follow, any other advice and story writing help would be appreciated!!
The lost caverns of Sandpoint
The Thieves guild would like us to find the missing gem and their missing member.
1st quest – To find information regarding the missing gem and missing member and relay that information back to the thieves’ guild.
• Finding information quest
One of the members stole the gem from the thieves’ guild.
This member was working with someone important within the city who wanted this gem stolen.
The gem is hidden down in the lost caverns.
2nd quest – To retrieve the missing gem and assassinate Mr “Importance”
• During the discussion about the information we have found the guild leader mentions “I would love to come face to face with the missing member to deal his punishment, but unfortunately he has not been seen since that night.”
• Mr “Importance” has a key to a room in the cave which hides the member and the gem.
• I would like areas leading into the cave that have guards we need to kill to get past, I would like this to be a moment where Darryl can use his perception checks to hear people in the areas beyond and then do sneak attacks on them.
• The member asks to be killed, so that he doesn’t have to deal with the wrath of Mr “importance”. Do we kill him or take him back to the thieves’ guild.
• The room that holds the gem is filled with traps – trap on the door, logic trap on the room and one on the the glass red gem housing.
• That looks like the red gem we were supposed to be finding for the cleric’s temple. Is this the real one?... What does the thieves’ guild want with a religious red gem?
Return the gem and the member (depending on rouges choice) and some sort of proof maybe? of the assassinated Mr "Importance" to the thieves guild. We receive a reward, experience and the rouge joins the guild...
Thanks!
