Changing lvl 1 character's class

I'm looking to make a serious foray in PFS this September. I made a character last year, though I haven't used him in any events or sessions. Can I change his class (bard to mesmerist) and/or his race (elf to half-elf)? Or am I locked in for that character?

1/5

According to the guide, you can change any except his number until you play him at level two or higher.

5/5 5/55/55/5

Even then nothings locked in until you play, so if I level my character from 8 to 9 in september I can erase the 9th level feat i picked on the sheet... until i play at 9th.

Sczarni 5/5 5/55/5 ***

Greetings and welcome back! We're glad to have you =).

In PFS you're allowed to change virtually anything you want about your 1st level characters. Race, Class, Name, Stats, Spells, Feats, Traits, and even most of your gear.

If you spent, say, 200gp on a Breastplate, but by your third session wanted to change to being a Wizard, you can sell back your Breastplate at full price rather than half.

The three things you're not allowed in a rebuild are 1) changing your PFS #, 2) selling back consumed or partially charged items, and 3) selling back items purchased with Prestige.

Other than those few things, so long as you haven't actually played a game above 1st level you're good to go. Only after that point would you then have to rely on the retraining rules found in Ultimate Campaign.

Best of luck to you!
