As gestalt just smashes two classes together, I would think you'd get more talents. Which would be pretty crazy, IMHO, but totally awesome :)
but at the same time the general rule is you gain a talent every tiem you gain a CL, so you could stack a 1/2 caster and a full caster and still end up with full casting, (in SoP casting level is staggered like BAB) so you'd gain 1 per level. most classes give bonus talents for specific spheres but still i'm not sure if they should gain bonus spell points or what. hmmm.

You gain 2 talents for free the first time you gain the Casting class feature. After that, refer to the tables for each class to determine how many talents you have. Think of it like this: if you were to normally gestalt a Cleric and a Wizard, how many spells do you get at each level?
If you decide to go the separate traditions route, you would have two caster levels, one for each class. If you don't, your highest caster level is your caster level.

The way I do it for mine you take the highest caster level and use that for your overall caster level (also cast under one stat instead of splitting them by class). Meaning you select what your casting stat is generally (so a magus/cleric could use their casting off wisdom or intelligence, their choice). That said, charisma has some minor buffs to make it more viable and worthwhile too.
You still gain one talent every time you'd gain a caster level in either class (though only get the first level bonus once). Spell points are equal to (Stat Mod + CL of first class + CL of second class).
So far it seems to be doing alright but I need to test it at higher levels more before I can say for sure.

yes but spells per level would be more like spell points, talents would be spells known. it feels like it could get crazy if i just got all the talents and all the spell points.
@ aleron, that sounds about right, you're still probably gaining bonus speres and talents from your classes anyway.
