If you are given a PFS number at a convention. How do you register a character that is attached to that number on this site? In other words I have a character with a provided PFS number, and want to make sure I get credit for scenarios already reported. When you create an account it assigns a PFS number to you. Now I have 2 PFS numbers, and the one I have been using is not the one connected to this account. Anyone else had this issue? I checked the faq and didn't see this issue listed, but as I have seen many people being provided numbers at conventions there is surely a way to register without losing previously played scenarios.

I think you can get customer service to merge your PFS numbers for you. Contact them at customer.service@paizo.com. Give them some time to get back to you, especially with GenCon this week.
As long as you have the chronicle sheets for the sessions you have played, you have credit. The chronicles are the primary record; think of the online reporting system as a backup.
If you know your venture officers, you can ask them to help you also. If you don't know your venture officers, you can look them up here.

Were you just given a number? You should have been given a number that has a confirmation code on it that's typically 5-7 digits of letters and numbers and a link to http://paizo.com/pathfindersociety where you could activate your account.
As mentioned, customer service can probably merge the numbers, I'm just curious how we can make the process for new players making accounts smoother :)
