Con Report: Evergreen Tabletop Expo 2015

Public Con Report as follows. Tanis, I will probably put things that are relevant for you but not for public consumption in an email.

I went down to the Convention Center. Met a long-time Wizards employee on the way and he regaled me with some nice stories about the early days of Magic. When I say this, I'm talking about when Richard Garfield was still there. We chatted about PACG as well (he didn't know much about it) and I explained how OP works.

At the convention center itself, we were positioned very nicely near the entrance in front of the Paizo and Lone Shark (Mike Selinker's company) booths. Liz Spain was also boothing; she brought her game Incredible Expeditions and I wanted the game so I got a copy. It had lots of promos and 2 mini expansions in it :)

The first day, because I kinda goofed and didn't put out signs indicating where everything was, a decent number of people were a bit confused. Luckily Liz and the Lone Shark people helped point people to me whenever I wasn't in the booth. We demoed the game a lot to people and we gave out lots of prizes - the Temptation of Big Die promo, Ekkie (new!) and a few class decks. We also played a few OP games.

Sunday, we gave out some more class decks, novels and promos to people who played. We also ran 2 tables of OP in addition to the demos and people got hooked. I mentioned a few places (including my weekly and Richard Kunz's Sunday weekly) that people could go if they were in Bellevue; Tacoma I believe also has a few places.

Gaby Wiedling was also there to playtest a few sessions of the new set, Mummy's Mask. I played Zadim; we managed to finish our scenario on the last turn, even though Liz mentioned "*when* you lose the scenario...". We were fumbling pretty badly in it, heh. But we made it!

Thanks a lot to my volunteers Luz, n00bie and PrisonerSix, and the Paizo crew Mark Seifert, Linda Zayas-Palmer and Brian Campbell for coming and helping with the organization!
