Just making sure this is right.....

Pathfinder Society

Hey all.

So I want to be sure that I have all the retraining rules correct here before my next game.

I have a Bladebound Kensai Magus 10/Unarmed fighter 1 with the crane line.

as my 9th level feat I took Improved Initiative (I wanted Crane Riposte but did not have the +8 BAB)

at 11th I took Critical focus

Now that I DO have +8 BAB can I retrain Improved Initiative into Crane Riposte?

I think Yes as I have all the pre-reqs.

If so, I pay ***Edit*** 550 Gp and 5PP? ***Edit***

And I have to get my next GM to sign off on it?

Is this all right?

That sounds rights. You can retrain pay to retrain earlier feats into things you wouldn't have qualified for at the time you received the feats like this, as long as it's not a pre-req for anything else (and that's not an issue here).

Cost looks right, and yes it should be signed off on a chronicle with the retraining written on the chronicle as what was being changed.

Enjoy.

Thank you.

You have everything right but the cost is off. Cost shoud be 10 x character level x days = money spent, per page 188 of Ult. campaign, and the rules for retraining feats don't make it any more expensive. So it shoud be 550 gp and 5 PP to retrain into Crane Wing. But, just to make sure, you do know that Crane Wing was errata'd, right? And, like Kevin said, record it on your chronicle and have your GM sign off on it.

ah, sorry, not sure how i screwed up a bit of basic math.

And yeah, tho to be honest I'm not sure why people hate it so much. Its still really good.

Thanks again.

I agree, I ended up sticking with Crane Wing after the errata (both times). I got a good bit of mileage out of it when I took my swashbuckler rogue with it through Eyes of the Ten.
