I rolled a Summoner quite some time ago and was applying GM credit to it so he is now grandfathered in and playable. But, I never really played him and am interested in doing so now. He is currently 3rd level and I am completing the process of leveling him from 2nd to 3rd and have a few general questions.
1. I am still confused how to generate the HPs for the eidolon for PFS play. Can someone explain the equation?
3 HD Eidolon, +1 CON bonus, Toughness Feat, Favored Class Bonus = +1 HP to eidolon.
2. Feat suggestions for Summoner-He is a young gnome who spends most of his time riding his eidolon into battle, trip attempts with his sickle, support his eidolon. Basically, he is focused on empowering his eidolon in battle. His first level feat is Extra Evolution. Whats a solid 3rd level feat? Im not terribly interested in the augment summoning line as I intend to have my eidolon active all the time and will not be able to make use of the Summon Monster ability.
3. Feat suggestions for eidolon-Quadruped with Toughness feat at 1st level. Power Attack seems a good option for 3rd level, but does it apply to all attacks or would I need to specify one?
4. Can I take the Improved Natural Armor evolution at level 3 for the eidolon? Or, can it only be taken at level 5, 10, 15 etc? Or can it be taken at 3, and then not again until after level 5?
Thanks for your help.

First question.
You said you gave him GM credit. Have you actually *played* him, at level 2 or higher, prior to april 27th?
Therefore, if you have a character with levels in the summoner class, and you have played the character at least once at level 2 or higher, you get to keep your summoner as is; you may also continue to gain levels in the summoner class.
After the assimar/teifling grandfather mess they no longer allow GM credit for grandfathering.
That said, the unchained summoner is pretty cool.
1. Not sure I am doing it correctly, so I will let someone else answer.
2. Resilient Eidolon is a must if you are going to be anywhere near your eidolon in combat. It doesn't matter how tough your eidolon is, if all they have to do is knock you unconsious and it goes poof.
3. Power attack applies to all attacks.
