Technological Firearms reload time

Rules Questions

Hi,
what is the action required to reload a technological firearm? I don't see the answer in technology guide or SRD.

Technology guide page 19/Power sources: An item's capacity can be filled from any power source—like a battery or a generator—as a standard action.

Technology guide page 39/Battery: Inserting or ejecting a battery is a move action.

Standard action sounds a bit too much in my opinion, so I have handled it as follows. Grab the battery from a pouch (move action, retrieve a stored item), eject the old battery* (move action), insert fresh battery (move action).

*Remember that battery-loaded Technology Guide firearms and other equipment do not need to keep their batteries in. Once you reload, the weapon sucks out the charges, and you can remove the empty battery immediately.

My players have not complained yet, though admittedly their rayguns have not seen a lot of use. Martials tend to whack things with melee weapons, and casters zap villains with lasers when they don't want to expend spells. Usually these weapons are reloaded after encounters. This may change once they have better weapons or encounter more flying enemies.
