I know that you can grapple a creature with one hand with a -4 on your CMB checks to grapple and maintain it. I'm curious as to the possibilities this has.
What is the purpose of this though, other than being able to hold a weapon on your other hand? Would this allow me to threaten or attack other creatures?
The grappling style feats mention something about grappling two creatures, but I can't seem to find any rules regarding this. How would that work since a grapple is a standard action, not an attack? Also, would you be able to maintain both without greater grapple?

Say you were wielding a Longsword and Heavy Shield, and your Longsword got Sundered. Rather than bash with your Shield, you decide to Grapple. You only have one hand free, so you're at -4.
Alternatively, your Shield gets Sundered. You successfully Grapple and Maintain (both at -4), and you want to damage your opponent. You can use your one-handed Longsword, whereas otherwise you'd have to resort to an Unarmed Strike.
The -4 is an increase in the options available to a Grappler.

The grappled condition does not stop you from threatening, it only prevents you from taking AoO's. (You still flank.)
If your unarmed strikes don't threaten and you are not wielding another weapon (including options such as armor spikes), it only adds another layer of complexity (provoking) to attacking outside of the grapple, but nothing actually stops you, although you do take a penalty for those attacks. The grappling style feats mention something about grappling two creatures, but I can't seem to find any rules regarding this. Ostensibly, as is implicit in the rules for the feats in Grabbing Style, you can grapple as many targets as you have hands (limited by adjacent space); however, you are correct that it would be impossible to maintain more than 1 grapple without Greater Grapple.
Unfortunately, Grabbing Master is not explicit in a declaration that a single successful maintain check accounts for 2 separately grappled creatures, but it's mostly implied and likely RAI.
As to "how" this can be accomplished:
-Free action Grab after an attack (granted by numerous means)
-I know of a few immediate(maybe swift) action abilities related to starting a grapple
-Monks of the Four Winds get a Ki ability to take 3 standard actions
-otherwise, it would require at least 2 rounds and Greater Grapple to manage to maintain the first while initiating the second
I'm sure I've missed some.
*as a note: Combat Maneuvers are attacks (Grapple just can't be made in place of one)
When you attempt to perform a combat maneuver, make an attack roll and add your CMB in place of your normal attack bonus. Add any bonuses you currently have on attack rolls due to spells, feats, and other effects. These bonuses must be applicable to the weapon or attack used to perform the maneuver. The DC of this maneuver is your target's Combat Maneuver Defense. Combat maneuvers are attack rolls, so you must roll for concealment and take any other penalties that would normally apply to an attack roll.
