Mantle of Moonlight and the Rage Spell

Rules Questions

It seems to be commonly assumed that mantle of moonlight allows you to disable enemy casters by putting them into a rage. I have been interested in this tactic in a (non-PFS) game irl, and upon a stricter reading, the tactic seems to not really work. In particular, the Rage spell (applied by revelations like Mantle of Moonlight) says:

Quote:
The effect is otherwise identical with a barbarian's rage except that the subjects aren't fatigued at the end of the rage.

A barbarian's rage explicitly states:

Quote:
A barbarian can end her rage as a free action...

Does this mean that someone affected by the Rage spell (and, by extension, Mantle of Moonlight) can end the spell as a free action?

RAW, it appears the answer to your question is yes.

Mantle of Moonlight RAI, since it allows you to force a "target: willing creature" spell effect on a subject, I'm quite comfortable saying the answer is likely no. (This is also assuming class features aren't designed to be [effectively] useless. It is strongly implied for use as a debuff, regardless of any potential use on allies.)
